Two of television's biggest stars—who happen to be serious stylesetters—showed up to the Emmy Awards in two equally gorgeous, strikingly similar gowns. Aside from the matching ruby hues, both dresses had dramatic trains that seemed to fade into the red carpet in the most stunning way.
The Glee star's Marchesa dress had exaggerated shoulders, embellished with fanciful flowers, and the drapey shape brought to mind silver screen stars of Old Hollywood.
The Donna Karan dress that the Vampire Diaries' heroine was wearing, on the other hand, had a structured bodice with a low-cut neckline. Whereas Lea opted for no accessories, with the exception of a bold cocktail ring, Nina played up the gown's silhouette with a diamond choker and matching rhinestone clutch.
The trailing hemlines weren't all they had in common. Although the necklines couldn't have been more different, both dresses had double take-worthy scoop back shapes.
